How beautiful when a whole tree is like one great fruit, full of ripe juices, every leaf from lowest limb to topmost spire, all aglow, especially if you look at the sun! - Henry David Thoreau Dear Martin’s Family, What a year it has been! Martins is, at last, transformed into a fully functioning soup kitchen with all our services up and running! Takeaway is, once, again, a choice not a necessity. Our volunteer base has been enlivened with a growing, enthusiastic group of young people as well as by the return of our longtime faithful. This regeneration has not come without its struggles. Our building itself, which we have now occupied for 37 years, has needed many repairs, improvements, and upgrades, and will need more love and care in the near future. That being said, our beautiful garden thrives and flourishes, providing comfort and sanctuary for our guests and for all who enter here.
